Military Genealogy

Unveiling Your Military Legacy
The PMML is unveiling new genealogy research packages to members and non-members in October! If you have always wanted to research a service member that is important to you and are unsure where to start, Library Services staff can conduct research on your behalf.
For a fee, you will receive a comprehensive report which includes: a biographical section, details on the service member's military service with maps showing where they served, and any medals or awards they received.
This package is intended for those who are new to genealogy or have limited knowledge and have never contacted institutions to assist with research. For a reduced fee, we also offer a basic inquiry option that does not include a full report.
To complete the report, we will use our available resources as well as contact institutions such as the National Archives to retrieve military records, and any other relevant state or local archives/libraries to obtain the most accurate picture of your requested service member's military service.
