USO
USO
The USO recognizes the tremendous effort and sacrifices that US troops and their families undergo to protect American freedoms. The USO provides a tangible way for Americans to express their appreciation and gratitude for the servicemen and women, as well as their families. The USO offers a variety of programs and services designed specifically to lift spirits and strengthen resiliency. As a private, congressionally chartered nonprofit, the USO relies primarily on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities.
FOR TRANSITIONING TROOPS
The USO helps to build fulfilling lives for troops as they transition from active duty to civilian life. Partnerships with organizations like Hire Heroes USA, Wyakin Warrior Foundation, Project Sanctuary and Stronger Families allow the USO to provide troops with the resources to find jobs.
FOR DEPLOYED TROOPS
Troops look to the USO for comfort, relaxation, entertainment and a connection to loved ones back home. The programs for Deployed Troops is designed to deliver these components, as well and the programs are designed to deliver.
Troops can find peace of mind through USO programs dedicated to the welfare and happiness of their loved ones.
The USO is dedicated to helping in the rehabilitation and reintegration of troops as they navigate the road to recovery. The USO's newest Warrior and Family Care Centers provide the ultimate rest and relaxation areas for the wounded, along with their families and caregivers, while they recover.
FOR FAMILIES OF THE FALLEN
When a serviceman or woman gives the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the United States, the USO is a support resource for military families. Through our partnership with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and a tremendous network of volunteers and staff, the USO is able to guide families through difficult times.
