CAMP DRUM, N.Y.: Snow-covered paratroopers of the 188th Infantry Reg., 11th Airbourne Div., prepare to unleash a mortar assault during a blinding snowstorm at Camp Drum, N.Y. The troopers, using an 81 mm. mortar, are participating in exercise snowfall, the joint Army-Air Force maneuver being held at Camp Drum. On Jan. 25, more than 1,000 paratroopers floated earthward in the first mass parachute jump of the maneuvers."--Verso.
