Celebrating the Museum & Library At the 2020 Liberty Gala
The 2020 Liberty Gala was one for the record books. Due to the need for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, we hosted our very first virtual Liberty Gala. Held on October 21, the event was a mix of live and recorded content that highlighted not only the accomplishments in the past year, but also the importance of our mission.
We honored the work of our 2020 Literature Award recipient, Colonel David Glantz. Tom Hanks presented Senator Bob Dole as the inaugural recipient of the Citizen Soldier Award.
Additionally, we also premiered a new video that highlights the importance of the Museum & Library's mission.
Most importantly, the event helped raise funds to support our mission through maintaining an accessible collection and developing programs dedicated to telling the story of our nation’s citizen soldiers. We have nearly reached our goal of $750,000 and your support today can help us meet that goal.
Our 2020 Liberty Gala could not have been such a success without the generosity of our sponsors. Thank you for your support of the Museum & Library and its mission.
