Cadet Commander Gregory Holmes at the 2014 Liberty Gala

Chicago Military Academy - Bronzeville JROTC Cadet Commander Gregory Holmes spoke at the 2014 Pritzker Military Museum & Library Liberty Gala in Chicago on November 8, 2014. 

Here, Cadet Holmes speaks about meeting Medal of Honor recipient SSG Ryan Pitts and conducting an Oral History interview with WWII Veteran Jack Schaller. He also speaks about his visit to the Normandy beaches in France on the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasions through the Tawani Scholars Program. 

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library and the Tawani Foundation extensively support JROTC programs here in Chicago as well as throughout the United States. Through the Tawani Scholars Program, JROTC Cadets have the opportunity to visit US Military Academies and foreign battlefields.

Cadet Holmes has been accepted to the United States Air Force Academy where he will attend upon graduation from the Chicago Military Academy.
