Thank you for helping us celebrate the work of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library and honoring the service and stories of the U.S. Armed Forces’ citizen soldiers–past, present, and future–with a particular focus on those who served during the Cold War.
The night celebrates the recipients of the Museum & Library’s annual awards. During the program, RADM Richard W. Schneider, USCGR (Ret.) is presented the with the prestigious Citizen Soldier Award for decades of exemplifying the traditions of the citizen soldier set forth by George Washington. The Museum & Library is also proud to recognize Canadian historian and award-winning author, Margaret MacMillan, recipient of this year’s Literature Award for Lifetime Achievement in Military Writing, for her many contributions to the field of military history.
