Parrish Collection on Soviet History
Michael Parrish (1937-2010) was an Associate Professor at Indiana University and the author of more than 50 books, articles, and book reviews on the Soviet military. He is best known for his biographical dictionary, entitled Soviet Security and Intelligence Organizations, 1917-1990 : a Biographical Dictionary and Review of Literature in English (1992).
His bibliographies on various other topics on Soviet history include the 1968 Czechoslovak Crisis, the Great Patriotic War 1970-1985, and senior Soviet military leadership from 1939 to 1953.
His Books and Personal Papers
The book collection consists of roughly 2060 books, mostly in Russian, Czech, and Polish.
The collection also consists of 26 linear feet of personal papers, which are still being processed for use by the Museum & Library staff.
