132nd Timeline 1917
132nd Infantry Regiment, Illinois National Guard, 33rd Division
Once redesignated the 132nd, it would remain so for 37 years. During World War I (1914-1917), the 132nd was one of four regiments from the Prairie State which made up the 33rd Division. They served at:
- Battle of Hamel
- Battle of Amiens
- Second Battle of the Somme
- Verdun-Fromerville
- Meuse-Argonne Offensive
- Troyon
- Grand Duchy of Luxemburg (occupation)
