USN Mark 2 Ka-Bar
First introduced to the Marines in 1942, the Mark 2, also known by the trade name Ka-Bar, was later adopted by the Navy and served as the standard-issue fighting/utility knife from WWII through the Vietnam War.
Most Navy Mark 2’s were equipped with a plastic scabbard which was more corrosion-resistant than the leather scabbards used for the Marine Corps Ka-Bars.
