Korean Service Medal
The Korean War Service Medal was awarded to U.S. service members who served in Korea between June 27, 1950 and July 27, 1954.
It was designed by the Army Heraldic Section and features a Korean gateway on one side and a Korean symbol similar to the yin-yang on the other side. The ribbon is in the colors of the United Nations. Robert Luchs received his medal for his service as a Marine in Korea through 1954.
