The document lists each flight Lt. Vyhnanek’s made while a bombardier with the 43rd Squadron, 29th Bombardment Group. In addition to his 26 combat flights, he also made several flights to Japan to drop supplies to POWs, two of which are recorded here. During his flight of September 2, 1945, he photographed USS Missouri as the formal surrender ceremonies took place.
