2003, Coronado, CA
After several hours of waiting, families and teammates are alerted to the arrival of returning SEALs by the sound of an approaching airplane. Everyone rushes closer with the hope of seeing “him” through a small window. Direct from Afghanistan, the first SEAL deployment of the modern wars is over. As they are eager to greet their returning husband, father, or son, the next teams are preparing for deployment.
