"Just don't call me a White House plumber."

Original drawing of Henry Kissinger dressed as a plumber. He is holding two wrenches, one in each hand, and is intertwined in the middle of several pipes that are steaming and leaking water. At his feet is a toolbox full of tools and the initials "H.K." on it. Written in all capital letters to the left of Kissinger is "Middle East.

    • In the beginning of October 1973 a Yom Kippur War started when Egypt and Syria partnered against Israel. The Egyptians were able to gain some control of Sinai, but the Syrians lost Golan Heights to the Israelis.
    • In October 1973 an oil crisis began in the United States after the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries embargoed oil. Countries in the OAPC cut off oil supplies to countries who supported or allied with Israel. This included the United States.
    • As National Security Advisor (1969-75) and the Secretary of State (1973-77) under the President Richard Nixon and President Gerald Ford administrations, Henry Kissinger had dealings with several Middle Eastern countries that included Israel, Egypt, and Syria.
