Nations and Empires in the Balance: Southeast Asia in WWII
Museum & Library President Dr. Rob Havers explores the mainland battle of 1944 with Wisconsin Veterans Museum Director Christopher L. Kolakowski.
Live on Livestream and Facebook - October 16th, 2020 – 10am (CT)
As historians look back at WWII in the Pacific Theater, much of the attention is placed on the air and land battles that took place near and over the Pacific Ocean. However, actions in India and Burma helped decide the course of the war. This program will explore the mainland battles of 1944, the events that led up to those fights and how these actions influenced the world following the war.
