- Carlo D'Este is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel with service in Vietnam, received the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Oak Leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal, and Commendation Medal for his military service. He is a co-founder of the William E. Colby Military Writers’ Symposium, based at Norwich University, and currently serves as its executive director. D’Este is also a long-time elected trustee of the Mashpee, Massachusetts Public Library and the former president of the Friends of the Kreitzberg Library at Norwich University. He is the author of many award winning books and he lives in Massachusetts with his wife, Shirley.
- Geoffrey Perret received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California, was awarded a graduate fellowship at Harvard and studied law at the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Perret has written There's a War to Be Won, Winged Victory, Old Soldiers Never Die: The Life of Douglas MacArthur, Ulysses S. Grant, Eisenhower and JACK: A Life Like No Other. Mr. Perret has also been a consultant on several televised historical documentaries.
- Lewis Sorley is a third generation graduate of West Point whose military career included a faculty assignment there and another at the Army War College. He served with tank and armored cavalry units in Germany, Vietnam, and the United States, and as a staff officer in the Offices of the Secretary of Defense and the Army Chief of Staff. Subsequently, he was a senior civilian official of the Central Intelligence Agency. His prize-winning books have included: Thunderbolt: General Creighton Abrams and the Army of His Times and A Better War: The Unexamined Victories and Final Tragedy of America's Last Years in Vietnam.
